One of the most popular question customers ask us is how to get their kids to stop playing video games and play “real games.” While we don’t necessarily know how to get kids to stop playing with screens, we do know that their best chance at it is if their parents do an activity with them (and put their own screens away too!).
What is a family game? This question is best answered in a conversation with your family. A family game is exactly that: a game a family enjoys playing together. For families with young children, a family game is probably a children’s game. For families with older children, a family game might be a strategy game, a party game, or a cooperative game. It really depends on who is in your family and what they enjoy doing.
Helping a family find a game that they enjoy playing together is one of our favorite things to do--seriously. Games help our own families connect, and we know they’ll help yours too. Come on in for a conversation about the kind of game that might best suit the young thinker, competitor, or puzzler in your family…
